Hotel Pennsylvania

Hotel Pennsylvania in New York belongs to one of the most famous world’s hotels. It is one of the five largest New York hotels. It is located in Midtown Manhattan, directly opposite Madison Square Garden and Amtrak’s Penn Station, on 7th Avenue between 32nd and 33rd Street.

The hotel with 1,700 rooms is the fourth largest hotel in Manhattan. There are different types of accommodations, with single, double and king bedded rooms. All of them have full bathrooms, large color televisions with cable, air conditioning and other amenities. There are also three or four single bedded rooms suitable for families, teams or tours. The hotel features both smoking and non-smoking guest rooms.

As far as meeting space in Hotel Pennsylvania is concerned, there is a conference center on the sixth floor that features a comfortable executive boardroom. On the eighteenth floor there are hotel’s ballrooms that can be configured in many combinations. To other hotel facilities belongs Fitness Center, safety deposit boxes for customers’ convenience, airport transportation services, sightseeing tours, and of course indoor valet parking.

Hotel Pennsylvania was built in 1919 by the Pennsylvania Railroad. The designer became the renowned firm of McKim, Mead and White that completed also other landmark hotels. It has 22 floors from street level to roof inclusive and three levels in the penthouse. There are separate entrances from both 32nd and 33rd Streets and a special entrance for the ballroom floor on the 33rd Street.
