712 Fifth Avanue building is one of New York skyscrapers located in Manhattan (between 55th and 56th Streets), on the address 712 5th Avenue at West 56th Street, New York, United States. It serves as a commercial, office building.

The architect of the building became Kohn Pedersen Fox and Schuman and the developers Solomon Equities and A. Alfred Taubman. The building was designed in postmodern style and it was erected in 1990. Materials used for its construction were concrete, limestone and granite.

712 Fifth Avenue is 197,6 metres (650 feet) tall and it has 52 floors. The tower is one of the most interesting facades in the city. It is of grey and white colour and it has strong decorative patterns, large square windows, occasional rustication and truncated banding. Its six-story crown, for example, is slightly indented at its four corners and it is marked by a different facade pattern.
The Fifth Avenue entrance of Bendel's store is a Post-Modern lobby with the Lalique windows.

The design had to accommodate a landmarked façade at the base of the building. And it was done so greatly, that the 712 Fifth Avenue building has not just saved some of the old ambiance of Fifth Avenue, but improved it while giving midtown an important and interesting new major and highly visible skyscraper.
