The Hotel Sacher Vienna, five-star De Luxe category hotel, is world famous and it has long tradition. It is situated in the heart of the old historical centre in Vienna, opposite the Viennese State Opera and just few minutes walk from museums, The Hofburg, The Spanish Riding School and across the famous Ringstrasse. Its actual address is Philharmonikerstrasse 4, 1010 Vienna. The Sacher, as the Viennese call it, combines contemporary Viennese comfort and luxury with the charm and feel of the old Habsburg monarchy and it is part of the city as for example the Prater ferry wheel or the Fiaker horse carriages.

It was opened in 1876 by Eduard Sacher, son of the creator of the Original Sacher-Torte Franz Sacher, and soon achieved worldwide renown as a meeting place for the nobility as well as for prominent politicians and artists. The Hotel successfully merge the "old" and the "new" and thus create both a unique atmosphere as well as maximum comfort. Its long history can be felt in every room, where modern comfort is ideally combined with the charm of the Habsburg monarchy. Today is the Hotel privately run by the families Guertler and Winkler.

The hotel offers 113 rooms and suites. They are beautifully equipped with elegant furniture; choice antiques and fine fabrics create a warm and luxurious atmosphere. Moreover, beautiful paintings and other decorative pieces of art give each room its own unique character and style. The 6th and 7th floor, which were added during the renovation in 2004 and 2005, offer 42 new rooms, a 300-square metre spa centre and a business area. All rooms feature wireless LAN, a Dolby Surround system, roof terraces, marble bathrooms with separate shower and toilet (some also have a bidet) as well as two washbasins, under-floor heating, illuminated vanity mirrors and plasma TV.

As far as restaurant and meeting facilities are concerned, one can find two bars there, Blue Bar is a comfortable meeting place, Red Bar offers piano music in the evenings; and one restaurant: Anna Sacher restaurant with both traditional Austrian cuisine and international specialities. Above mentioned Original Sacher-Torte is available in Café Sacher Vienna. There are five meeting rooms for up to 250 participants each in the Hotel.
